Landscape Projects
Enjoy some of my sustainable landscape projects. These transformations have included design elements and builds of hardscape, fencing, and landscape- both naturalized and in cultivated gardens. One of my goals in my design is to help folks see more cultivated aesthetics that are achieved with native plants and prove that spaces can both be beautiful and feel cultivated/organized AND be maximizing their ecological benefits. I aim to set an example for folks who love gardens but are making the transition away from traditional gardens and plants into more sustainable practices. Hardscape, fencing, and trellises as well as garden art is done with recycled materials. Overall these transformational effects on the spaces are quite impactful. Iād describe my style and practice as prioritizing nature first and embracing biodiversity, organic shapes and structures, and textures. My idea of beauty is one that is filled with life and vibrant- who wants sterile flowers when we remember that we live alongside all manner of amazing creatures. For those who love cottage gardens, native gardens are basically just cottage gardens but with big boom of vibrancy that comes with the native species that rely on them. My belief is that our spaces should be a holistic habitat for both ourselves and all the nature around us.
