With a long career as an educator, having worked with folks of all ages from classrooms to boardrooms, auditoriums, studios, and stages, my super power as an educator is in helping people grasp complex concepts and develop their understanding of the world and a lens through which to navigate it in a way that feels accessible and motivating. I love teaching and connecting folks to deeper understandings, critical and nuanced thinking, and the empowerment of these things combined.

In my 20+ years as an educator working in the arts and sustainability, I have yet to fall out of love with seeing what fantastic education can do for people. From individuals to families; community groups, teams or schools, and whether in the field or a conference room, I’m experienced in developing and delivering informational, values-packed, inspirational, entertaining and motivational programming for a wide range of group sizes and knowledge bases both in hands-on and experiential learning as well as lecture formats.

My specialty is working with beginners- folks who are new or just beginning their introduction to the concepts of sustainability and environmentalism- and bringing new folks deeper into the work of sustainability and conservation and helping them understand their personal abilities, powers, and responsibility as a member of an ecosystem. I especially love teaching adults because we’re never too old to learn, despite certain adages- and I see this as critically important in our fast changing world. I believe that education is the most powerful of gateways to a more sustainable world and better living conditions for all.
